Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and raised by a mixed-ethnic, multiracial family. Jacqueline Fernandez's mother Kim and father Elroy have both been Malaysian. There are two older brothers and two younger brothers. The family have moved to Bahrain in 1980s due to the Lankan civil unrest and hence her birth and education were in Bahrain. In Australia, she studied Media and Communications at University of Sydney after graduating from Bahrain. She was also a student at the Berlitz School of Languages which helped her improve on French, Arabic and Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March 2006 and she was also crowned Miss Universe 2006 also. In 2006, she was awarded the Miss Sri Lanka title. After that, she went on television as a host of the show about Sri Lankan companies called Lanka Business Report. Padukone has a daughter with badminton star Prakash Padukone. She was brought up in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. When she was in her teens, Padukone competed in badminton championships at national level. However, she left the sport to make a profession as a fashion designer. Padukone's native language is Konkani. She is Mangalorean by origin. Padukone is located in Kundapura Taluk located in Udupi located in Karnataka State, India, is where her lineage comes from. Prakash Padukone has retired as a world-renowned athlete in badminton and her mother also works as a travel advisor.
